PortfoMemo ("we", "us", "our") operates the website portfomemo.com and the application at app.portfomemo.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

• Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and basic profile information through our authentication provider (Clerk).
• Portfolio data. When you submit a portfolio for analysis, we process the holdings you provide. Portfolio data is sent to our analysis engine, used to generate your memo, and is not stored permanently after the analysis is complete.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. We retain transaction records (plan purchased, amount, date) for accounting purposes.
• Usage data. We track basic usage metrics such as number of analyses performed and remaining balance. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking scripts.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the portfolio analysis service.
• To manage your account and analysis balance.
• To process payments and prevent fraud.
• To communicate with you about your account if necessary.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — authentication and user management.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Supabase — database hosting.
• OpenAI — portfolio analysis engine. Portfolio data sent to OpenAI is subject to their data usage policies. We do not opt in to having your data used for model training.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Portfolio submissions are processed in real time and are not stored after analysis. Payment records are retained for legal and accounting requirements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
